Equipment
As your child begins their sixth form journey, they are entering an exciting and important stage of their education. Sixth form offers greater independence and responsibility, helping students prepare for further education, employment and adult life.
An important part of this transition is developing the organisational skills needed to manage their own learning effectively. We encourage all sixth form students to take responsibility for bringing and maintaining their own equipment each day. In further education and the workplace, individuals are expected to arrive prepared with the resources they need, and developing these habits now will support your child’s future success.
To ensure they are fully equipped for learning, we recommend that students bring the following items to school each day:
- A suitable school bag
- A pencil case
- HB pencils
- A rubber
- A sharpener
- Black pens
- Green pens
- Highlighters
- A ruler
- A scientific calculator
- A notebook or lined paper
- A glue stick
Having the correct equipment enables students to participate fully in lessons, work independently and make the most of their learning opportunities. We would greatly appreciate your support in helping your child to meet these expectations.
Developing good organisational habits now will contribute significantly to their success in sixth form and beyond.
